A senior adviser to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that U.S. military bases around the world could be seized if Washington were to use nuclear weapons against Iran.

Brig. Gen. Mohammad Reza Naqdi made the warning as tensions between Tehran and Washington remain extremely high. The statement comes amid Iran’s increasingly aggressive military posture and stalled efforts to reach a new agreement with the United States.

Naqdi also indicated that Iran’s military strategy is shifting toward a more offensive approach, raising concerns that any major escalation could extend far beyond the Middle East.

The threat remains a statement from an Iranian military official and does not mean that U.S. bases are currently under attack or facing an imminent takeover.
